Qualifying Criteria
Tiered registration will start at 85% of the American record total. 14 spots are available for women.
After each week of registration qualifying totals drop by 5 percentage points of the American record total.
Your OpenPowerlifting profile must show that you met the qualifying total required to register lifting raw in a meet on or after January 1, 2023. If you do not meet these requirements, your entry fee will not be refunded.
If a lifter withdraws from the SBD Austin primetime session, the man or woman with the highest total as a percentage of the American record total will be offered the opportunity to replace them as a reserve.
Any lifter who registers for the open session and receives a wildcard invitation to the SBD Austin primetime session, or takes a reserve spot for the primetime session, will have their meet entry refunded.
Coaches
• Athletes will be allowed a maximum of one (1) coach each.
Media
• Professional media coverage will be available.
• A free livestream will be available on the SBD Apparel YouTube page.
• Media passes will not be available.
• Spectators and coaches may not use cameras with detachable lenses.
Rules
• The competition will be run according to IPF technical rules.
• All athletes are required to hold an active Powerlifting America membership to compete.
• All athletes are required to use equipment that is on the IPF approved list.
